Pink Sparkles Crab

Description

Covered in masses of bright crimson buds that open to a warm pink blush, Pink Sparkles® Crabapple is a cross between Red Jewel® and Prairifire. The cherry-red fruit that follows matures to a deep wine color in the late fall and persists till spring. The form is upright and compact, becoming pyramidal with age. This crabapple shows good resistance to apple scab, apple mildew, fireblight, and cedar-apple rust. Use as a specimen or plant in groups.
